I thought myself to be fairly well-steeped in U.S history lore. Born in 1946, son of patriotic WWII Gold Star families. Started elementary school in 1952 at George Washington Elementary School in Morristown, NJ, 2 blocks from General Washington's Winter Revolutionary War Headquarters.
Now, nearing 80, I find that I still have so much to learn about the details of the founding of our nation. This Ken Burns documentary is an invaluable place to locate and grasp spme vital new information.
Trust me. Watch it.
An iconic painting. I crossed the Delaware in canoes many times growing up, during summer camp near Port Jervis (Deleware Water Gap).
